Freer provides regulatory support for the client in meeting the requirements of the state of Washington’s Underground Storage Tank (UST) Program. The client operates multiple underground storage tanks that contain oil or diesel fuel. These tanks are required to have leak detection and cathodic protection systems installed that must be tested routinely to ensure that they are function properly. Furthermore, the client is required to keep records of all tests and maintenance done on its USTs. When a state audit of the client’s UST records indicated corrective actions needed to bring the client into compliance with state regulations, Freer worked with the client to ensure that all records were accurate and complete, and to ensure that the client’s UST leak detection and cathodic protection systems were repaired. Freer’s support for UST compliance is ongoing.
